Импрессивная (сенсорная) алалия — самое тяжелое детское языковое расстройство: ребенок с нормальным интеллектом и слухом не начинает понимать речь окружающих и, как следствие, говорить. Этиология неизвестна, прогноз неблагоприятный. Углубленное изучение синдрома необходимо для уточнения диагностических критериев и создания системы адекватной медицинской и педагогической помощи, а также в теоретическом плане. Проведенный анализ симптоматики и течения синдрома (17 детей в возрасте от 2 до 10 лет) позволил выявить два варианта течения синдрома, уточнить поведенческие диагностические критерии и обосновать основное направление педагогической работы по абилитации. Также обсуждается возможный характер поражения мозга, что, на наш взгляд, может помочь при планировании медицинских исследований.
