Сестра фотографа Джули Уилсон, Дина, родилась в 1975 году. У нее был синдром Дауна. Но Дине повезло: и родители, и сестра всегда любили ее, и у нее была теплая, крепкая и любящая семья, во всем помогавшая ей. Дина успела поздравить Джули со свадьбой, которая состоялась в 2009 году. Дина прожила 35 лет – на 33 года больше, чем предсказывали врачи. После смерти сестры Джули Уилсон решила сделать особенный фотопроект в память о сестре.

Не зная, где взять моделей для своего фотопроекта, Джули обратилась на фейсбук – и тут же ее завалили письмами родители, чьи дети родились с синдромом Дауна.

Джулия уже знала, что именно будет снимать. Одежду и аксессуары для съемок пожертвовали бутики Posh Peanut и Closet.

По словам фотографа, она делала этот проект для собственного удовольствия, а также для того, чтобы показать людям, что дети с синдромом Дауна могут стать для семьи истинным благословением.
